After a brief interruption with the U.S. Army, serving with a Military Intelligence Group in Southeast Asia....starting a long career of recording, touring, & songwriting...MCA & RCA Record releases with Atlanta band "Mose Jones"...produced by Al Kooper & Buddy Buie...late night jams with Atlanta's best musicians...

Studio One in Atlanta...this studio produced hits for ARS, Lynrd Skynrd, Alicia Bridges, Paul Davis, .38 Special, & many more ...producers & engineers such as Rodney Mills, Greg "Fern" Quesnel, Tad Bush, Brendon O'Brien, Steve Buckingham...Piedmont Park with Allman Brothers, Alex Cooley's Electric Ballroom, Richards, The Great Southeast Music Hall, Carlos McGee's... eating at "Ma Hull's" house in Inman Park (every touring musician from Little Feat to James Taylor knew about that food)...

Touring and opening for artists Frank Zappa, Little Feat, the Doobie Brothers, Santana, Mothers Finest, Boz Scaggs, ARS, Kiss, Bad Company, Wet Willie, Charlie Daniels, Iggy Pop, Lynrd Skynrd, Rory Gallagher, Indigo Girls, Bon Jovi, Kiki Dee, Deon Warwick, Ted Nugent, Freddy King, and many others...

As a BMI songwriter and composer, Steve has been actively writing since his early teens. His songs have been recorded & performed by many including: "Mose Jones",  "IF",  "Atlanta Rhythm Section", TV show "Just the 10 of Us", and European releases by German groups. His instrumental music can be heard on "Delta Airlines" boarding music list. Currently writing jazz/new age music that is forthcoming and soon to be released.

  • Steve co-wrote the Top 40 song "ALIEN", ( with Buddy Buie and Randy Lewis ), recorded by  the ATLANTA RHYTHM SECTION (Quenela). It was re-recorded and released on their later CD entitled "Partly Plugged".
