The band provides the music and fun for many wedding receptions.
We invite the future bride & groom and the family out to hear the band 'live" to determine if we are the band for your event! We enjoy and respect the honor of this special occasion - we can even arrange to play your favorite song!
Plus, we play CD/ipod music as guest arrive and during the breaks - keeping the energy of the event up to par so there is no lag in during the reception's festivities.
The couple can choose "special" songs for those traditional wedding reception moments - the cake cutting, bouquet toss, garter toss, and of course the First Dance, the Father-Daughter Dance, and the Mother-Son Dance, as well as any other special "musical" moment you may have in mind. These four musicians, Steve McRay, Michael Bastedo, Marvin Taylor, and John Holder, have been a fixture on the Atlanta music scene for years. As Java Monkey, they have toured and played all around Atlanta, throughout the Southeast, select cities across the US, and mostly with Atlanta favorite "Francine Reed", they have toured Europe and Australia. The band has opened shows and shared the stage with many Artists including Al Green, Bruce Hornsby, James Brown, Mavis Staples just to name a few. As session musicians, they have recorded with national artists for albums, CD's, and other studio projects.
